Tildesley Shield Tennis Competition

Competition Details

Dates: Wednesday 17 March to Thursday 18 March, 2021 (Friday may be used as a backup day if  required).

Venue: the Ryde – Thornleigh Sporting Complex, Brittania Street, West Pennant Hills  Park, Pennant Hills

Competition Format: Singles matches will take place on the Wednesday and the Doubles matches will  commence on Thursday. Depending on COVID restrictions, all team members are  expected to attend for the full duration of the two days of competition. IGSSA will  update schools closer to the day.

Accomodation: Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions we will  not be able to do the traditional stay overnight at the IBIS.

Spectators: no parent or carer spectators are allowed at the venue. There will be no  linesgirls as well as there will be NSW chair umpires allocated to each court. 

Transport: All students are to meet  Mr Malin at the Danebank bus bay in “The Avenue” at 5.45am sharp on Both Competition days. A mini-bus  will drive the girls from the school and back each day. Girls will return to school at  the completion of the days play or when there are no more Danebank girls left in  the draw. We will arrange for the girls to contact you on our departure from the courts to give you a rough indication of when we will be returning to school. Girls  are not allowed to leave early and will travel on the school mini-bus with the  team unless given permission from the school principal Dr Burgess. 

Uniform: Students are required to wear the correct Danebank sports uniform at all times,  the Danebank skirt, bike pants with ball holder and the centenary white tennis  shirt. If the weather is cold the students must wear their school tracksuit.

Students must also bring a drink bottle, sunscreen, hat and school sports bag.
