Welcome to Touch Football -Term 1 2022, 

Dear Danebank Touch Football Players & Parents,

Welcome to what should be an exciting 1st term of Sport in 2022 at Danebank.
Please see below details on the IGSA Term 1 Touch Football Season.
Team Lists
Please refer to your email or the Sport Notice Board for the Danebank team lists for 2022. There are four teams (1 team for students in years 10-12 (DAN01), 2 teams comprising students in years 8-9 (DAN02, DAN03), and 1 team comprising students in years 7 (DAN04).
If you are not listed in a team please let Ms Banfield and Mr Morrissey know ASAP.
Draws
Draws are available via the new IGSA system for viewing draws online (formerly MyIGSA). Mr Morrissey will communicate to everyone when this is ready. https://igsasport.spawtz.com/
Venue Details
Please refer to email regarding the details on all venues being used for each Sport. Please allow time for parking and traffic.
Covid-19 Sport Protocols (i.e. spectators etc)
Covid-19 protocols will be accessible through email as this differs depending on the venue, and any updated protocols will be advised via email.
Training
Please refer to either email or the Sport notice board for the training schedule for this term. Training will be conducted at Crook Park between 6.45 am – 7.50 am. Please arrive at the Danebank Gymnasium no later than 6.40 am to drop off bags and have your name marked on the roll. We will leave just before 6.45 am for the park. There are no bathrooms at Crook Park and girls will need to walk down in joggers – before putting on Football/Soccer boots to train in.
Attendance at training is compulsory. If you cannot attend a session, please email to explain and organise an alternate session – please provide us with a suggested session in your email.
Uniform for Training & Games
(All items can be purchased from the school uniform shop – click here to see the opening hours)
Training – Danebank Sports singlet and Sports bike pants + Football/Soccer boots (walk to the park in joggers however). The PE shirt and shorts can also be worn to training.
Saturdays – Danebank Singlet and Sports bike pants or PE shorts. Note: Danebank ONLY clothing is to be worn.
Non-Attendance at Matches
Please complete the link below for any match you are not able to attend (compulsory pre-arranged commitment that can’t be moved or any illness that could be covid-19 related).
Wet Weather
Please visit the below link to see if venues are cancelled. Do not assume a venue is closed until it is listed on this page.
Signing On
Please ensure you sign on at the venue convenor each week. Girls who don’t sign on for a minimum of 3 matches during the regular season can’t play Semi and Grand Finals.
Sport Term Pocket Policy
Refer to the below link for the guidelines for receiving a pocket (making up a missed training session/participation/uniform/attitude/team spirit etc)
Punctuality
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the commencement time of your game/match to meet your coach, warm up and prepare for play. Be sure to allow time for travel, parking and to navigate the playing field/court/pool.
Team / Sporting Spirit
A positive, encouraging, considerate attitude towards your team members at all times. Displaying fair play with opposition players, coaches and officials regardless of the final score.
Communication
It is Important to communicate with Sport staff any issues, concerns, unavailability, injury matters.
