Welcome to what should be an exciting 1st term of Sport in 2022 at Danebank.
Please see below details on the Santa Sabina Term 1 Invitational Volleyball Season.
Playing Saturdays
February 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2.
Team Lists
Please refer to either the Sport notice board or email regarding the Danebank team lists for 2022. There are 8 teams – 3 from years 10-12, 2 from years 8-9 and 3 teams within year 7.
Draws
Set times each week unless advised otherwise.
7.45 am – 8.45 am: Danebank teams 5, 6, 7 and 8.
8.45 am – 9.45 am: Danebank team 4
9.45 am – 10.45 am: Danebank 2 and 3
10.45 am – 11.45 am: Danebank 1
Venue Details
Santa Sabina College – 90 The Boulevarde Strathfield (all games played at this venue).
Covid-19 Sport Protocols (i.e. spectators etc)
As of the 26th of Febuary, parents will be allowed on campus.
Girls are requested to leave straight after their game.
Players, coaches, school staff and officials only in attendance.
Training
Training will be conducted in the school Gymnasium. Refer to team list for training times.
Uniform for Training & Games
(All items can be purchased from the school uniform shop – click here to see the opening hours)
Training – Danebank Sports singlet and Sports bike pants.
Saturdays – Danebank Singlet and Sports bike pants or PE shorts.
Note: The PE shirt and shorts can also be worn to training. Danebank ONLY clothing is to be worn at all times.
Non-Attendance at Matches
Please complete the non attendance link sent via email link for any match you are not able to attend (compulsory pre-arranged commitment that can’t be moved or any illness that could be covid-19 related).
Wet Weather
Santa Sabina will make a decision as early as possible and will inform Ms Banfield if matches are cancelled. Ms Banfield will email/text message all players and parents of the cancellation. Please assume matches are on unless you hear from Ms Banfield.
Signing On
No sign on required.
Sport Term Pocket Policy
Refer to the below link for the guidelines for receiving a pocket (making up a missed training session/participation/uniform/attitude/team spirit etc)
Punctuality
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the commencement time of your game/match to meet your coach, warm up and prepare for play. Be sure to allow time for travel, parking and to navigate the playing field/court/pool.
Team / Sporting Spirit
A positive, encouraging, considerate attitude towards your team members at all times. Displaying fair play with opposition players, coaches and officials regardless of the final score.
Communication
It is Important to communicate with Sport staff any issues, concerns, unavailability, injury matters.
