Welcome to what should be an exciting 1st term of Sport in 2022 at Danebank.

 

Please see below details on the IGSA Term 1 Water Polo Season.

 

Please refer to email or Sport noticeboard for team lists for 2022. There are five teams (1 team for students in years 10-12 (DAN01), 2 teams comprising students in years 8-9 (DAN02, DAN03), and 2 teams comprising students in years 7 (DAN04 and DAN05).

 

If you are not listed in a team please let Ms Banfield and Mr Morrissey know ASAP.

Please refer to email regarding the details on all venues being used for each Sport. Please allow time for parking and traffic.

 

Covid-19 protocols will be accessible through email as this differs depending on the venue, and any updated protocols will be advised via email.

 

 

Please refer to the team list for training times. Training will be conducted at between 6.30 am – 7.50 am.

Attendance at training is compulsory. If you cannot attend a session, please email to explain and organise an alternate session – please provide us with a suggested session in your email.

Training – Danebank Water Polo costume or the Danebank Swimming costume.

Saturdays – Note: Danebank Water Polo costume or the Danebank Swimming costume.  Danebank ONLY clothing is to be worn (including before games – PE uniform).

 

Please complete the link below for any match you are not able to attend (compulsory pre-arranged commitment that can’t be moved or any illness that could be covid-19 related).

 

Please visit the below link to see if venues are cancelled. Do not assume a venue is closed until it is listed on this page.

Ms Banfield and Mr Morrissey will also try and email parents and coaches if we hear of venues being washed out. But often we will be driving to and from matches.

 

Please ensure you sign on at the venue convenor each week. Girls who don’t sign on for a minimum of 3 matches during the regular season can’t play Semi and Grand Finals.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the commencement time of your game/match to meet your coach, warm up and prepare for play. Be sure to allow time for travel, parking and to navigate the playing field/court/pool.

 

A positive, encouraging, considerate attitude towards your team members at all times. Displaying fair play with opposition players, coaches and officials regardless of the final score.

 

It is Important to communicate with Sport staff any issues, concerns, unavailability, injury matters.
